Daytrip up the Franz Josef Glacier

We stopped ou tour arround South New Zealand for one day and had the chance to enter the Franz Josef Glacier. Most of the people did. We got special shoes with metal on the to not slip one the ice. I loved it. The glacier is moving 1 Meter by DAY!. And it comes down all the was to the rain forest this can only be found in Chiele again on our beautifull planet.

Here we hiked up the glacier. We were split into 4 groups of people with different hiking speed. I did choose a slower group, so I had the chance to take more pictures. Unfortunatly our guide was worse than tzhe others it was not just speed.

One of the rare photos of myself. I really enjoyed the trip on the glacier. Here we were stuck, because our guide, kind of lost his way, but we fought our way out.
